What is the dress code for Littleton Elementary District schools?

In order to ensure that all students are treated fairly and with respect, we require uniforms for all students that consist of:

  • Solid dark green/ash gray/burgundy/navy blue shirt with a lay-down collar (polos, blouses, button-up dress shirts).
  • Sweaters and sweatshirts should be the same as uniform top/shirt colors, plus white or black. Only solid colors/no logos; no wearing of hoods inside.
  • Solid navy/khaki shorts or slacks; no blue jeans, sweatpants, or stretchy materials. (Girls may also wear skirts or jumpers.)
  • No labels, tags, or logos may be showing.
  • No hats in the building.
  • Closed-toed shoes.
How do I enroll my child at the Fine Arts Academy?

We are thrilled to welcome new members to our community! Please visit our Registration page for the information about enrolling your child at our school. You may also download and print a copy of the registration forms and bring the completed forms, together with the required documentation, to the school office.

My child must take medication during school hours. What do I need to do?

We will cooperate with the family physician and the parents to dispense a child’s medication if the following requirements are met:

  • We must have a written order from the physician stating the name of the medicine, the dosage, and the time that it is to be given.
  • We must have written permission from a parent allowing the appropriate staff member or the student to administer the medicine.
  • We require the parent or guardian to deliver the medication to the school office in the original prescription container. If the medication is over-the-counter, we require that it be provided in the original container with all warnings and directions intact.
  • We require all medications to be given to the school nurse/health aide or designee for administering.
What do I need to do if my child will be tardy or absent from school?

We consider students tardy starting at 8:30 a.m. and kindly ask all parents to help us ensure students arrive to school on time to participate. Tardy students should stop by the school office to receive a tardy slip before reporting to their classrooms. If your child must miss school, please call the school office on the day of his/her absence. For information about attendance requirements and what qualifies as an excused absence, please refer to our student handbook.

What if my child needs to leave school early?

A parent or guardian must sign out and pick up students at the front office. We require valid state issued identification in order to pick up students early from school.

What are the daily meal prices?

FAA offers school lunch to our students for a daily price of $2.30. A reduced plan is available for just $.40 for approved students. We offer a nutritious breakfast daily for all students, free of charge. Please see our district Food Services page for more information.

How much homework is required for FAA students?

We believe homework can be a valuable learning activity that can help your child reinforce skills, develop self-discipline and responsibility, and learn how to use time wisely. It is also a great opportunity for parents to become involved in and aware of what their children are learning.

So that students are not overburdened with excessive amounts of homework, we recommend the following guidelines:

  • Grades K–3: 20 minutes, four days a week
  • Grades 4–6: 45 minutes, four days a week
  • Grade 7: 60 minutes, four days a week
Does the school district provide transportation to and from school?

Yes! Students who live within the school attendance area and more than one mile from school may ride the school bus. Remember, transportation is a privilege and not a statutory requirement; we reserve the right to revoke the privilege at any time. Visit our Transportation page for more information.

  • Please have your child ready at the bus stop seven minutes before his/her scheduled pick up.
  • We require an adult to be present at the bus stop for kindergarten students who are being picked up or dropped off.
  • Please convey to your child the importance and expectations of good conduct while riding the bus.
